Happy Birthday Cousin

We had a family birthday party for K's cousin! It was Pirate themed, because K's cousin is a huge Captain Hook fan!

It's time to party!

Grandma & Grandpa had the cutest pirate decorations!

Happy Birthday cousin!!

Mario, Yoshi, and Luigi

We decided that the pigs needed more room to run around, so we built them a new cage!
K has his dad's safety glasses on.

We started with a sheet of coroplast.

Daddy used plastic closet shelves to build the cage.

He built a 3 by 6 cage for the pigs!

Yoshi, Mario, and Luigi.

Now the pigs have plenty of room to run around!

Just keeping it real

Some days you got to just throw on a Superman shirt, a Chuck E Cheese medallion, your best nerd glasses and listen to loud music while dancing in your mickey mouse underwear! Just keeping it real!

John's Burgers!!!!!!

When I was a little girl my parents use to take us to John's Burgers as a special treat. My sister and I use to love it! It's still in business and at the same location. I took K there for the first time last week! We passed a payphone walking up to the front door. K said, " What's that Mama, a phone?". Lol, he's never seen a payphone before! We both got a cheeseburger and large fries to go. K enjoyed running back and forth in their " To Go" lobby. We took our burgers home and gobbled them up. It was nice to experience a childhood favorite with my son.

Grandpa's new nickname for K

The week before K was born I had a false alarm, and went into the hospital to see if I was in labor. While I was laying in the hospital bed I experienced little air bubbles in my tummy. I grabbed my father's hand and placed it onto my stomach. My dad's eyes widened, and he told me he could feel it. He asked me what it was, and I told him the baby has the hiccups. He told me that was the baby's new nickname " Hiccup". Which has been K's nickname up until now....

Last week my dad called K " TurquoiseMaquoise". K said, I'm not " Quoisee Quoisee". I'm K!!!! K can not say " TurquoiseMaquoise" but he sure tries to. When he tries it comes out " Quoisee Quoisee", and it sounds super cute! Now Grandma, Auntie, and Uncle are calling him
" TurquoiseMaquoise".

I want a mustache just like Grandpa

K told me he wanted a mustache just like Grandpa's. He now wears a black eyeliner mustache about once a week!

The New Bathroom Rug

When it's time to leave the park, I tell K " Okay, five more minutes!".
When it's time to get out of the bath tub  " Okay, five more minutes!".
When it's time to come inside from play time " Okay, five more minutes!"

I bought a new rug for our bathroom floor. K came into the bathroom as I placed our new
rug onto the ground. He liked the color. He walked over it. He sat down on it.....and then made himself comfortable.

Me: ( Leaving the bathroom) Come on honey, lets go.
K : Five more minutes Mama!
