The Cars Flag Football Team

K played on his second flag football team this year and their team name was " The Cars ".
His dad was the head coach.

This is the team. We were missing the assistant couch and his son

on picture day.

 

Each year seems to be more fun than the last. This year Daddy was able to get the team

to growl as they ran across the field towards their opponents. It was fun to watch and they definitely scared the other teams.

Last Day of Kindergarten

K finished his first year of school!
His Kindergarten teacher was Mrs. Schirmer.
She was wonderful!!!!!

He learned how to READ! He learned 40 High Frequency Words! He learned how to write a math sentence. He learned how to write all the letters of the alphabet. He presented a project in front of his class as " Star of the week". He went on his first field trip to Smith Family Farm! We are VERY proud of him!

Which the class watched grow from a seed.

Poor plant died two days later because I fried it by placing it in front of a window

with way too much direct sunlight.

I really let this blog get away from me.
Work, Mommy duties, taking care of our home.....
I didn't take the time to update this blog for several months.

K is now READING!!!!!!
He started reading in Kindergarten.
I didn't tell you about the Holidays!
K's 6th Birthday!
K's 2nd Football Team " The Cars ".
K's 2nd Baseball Team " The Hooks".
K finished Kindergarten.
We said goodbye to the family cabin.
K started 1st grade!!!
A trip to Monterey for my Birthday!

Books we read Aug 29th- Sept 2nd

K brought me to tears tonight

I'm feeling so happy right now.
Tonight, I was helping K  dry off from his shower when he looked up at me and said:

K: I'm glad who I am.
Me: Awe baby, I'm glad to hear that.
K: I'm smart, kind, and important.
Me: ( I felt the tears coming) That's right baby!
K : I'm K _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _  ( He said his full name, and with so much pride)!
Me: ( crying) I'm so proud of you honey!
K: Are you crying ? Why are you crying?
Me: Because I'm so proud of you.

Sick Days

K was sick two days this week:

Poor little guy.

 

It's Saturday and he's not allowed to go swimming because he still

has a little cough. He's not happy about not going swimming.

 

We still BBQ

K usually swims while Daddy BBQ.

 

 

 

Cuddle Credit Cards

I came home from the grocery store to find out that K had made some cuddle credit cards. He made two. One for Daddy and one for himself. These were created so they can be used when ever someone wants to cuddle:
