Packing, packing, and more packing

Today was spent packing boxes for our move this weekend. I've got K's closet packed, our closet packed, our bathroom, and K's playroom. Tomorrow K will go to Grandma & Grandpa's house while I pack K's bedroom, our bedroom, the kitchen, and the guestroom. There is still a lot to do, but I'm  excited to get into our new place. I will miss my little man tomorrow!

A new park & water feature

We went to K's cousin's school today to learn which class room & teacher he has, so we can pick him up from school next week. While we were in a different neighborhood, we decided to check out their park.

This park had two play structures for younger kids. Unfortunately, it was so hot outside today that K was not able to enjoy all the features on the structures. I was afraid he might burn himself climbing or sliding on some parts of the structures.

Then we went home and K went through the sprinklers:

 

 

 

We did something new, saw family, and had fun doing it. It was a good day!



 

 

 

 





Pictures from Grandpa

My father-in-law has been kind enough to let us keep our boat at his home during our move. Over the weekend Daddy & K took our boat over to his home, and got to move around his ATV's. My father-in-law e-mailed me some pictures of K on the ATV's this morning.

Since K had a trip to the ER yesterday, I kept him inside today and tried to manage a low energy day. I could tell he was still not feeling himself, but was feeling better.

 

We made a slide out of a broken moving box:

 

 

 

 

Then we cut his Styrofoam noodle in half in hopes that it would be strong enough to race plastic cars down. It was not, we raced grapes down it instead :

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today was quiet, and K is on his way to feeling better soon. Tomorrow we need to get some more boxes packed and pick up K's cousin from school. I'm glad my little man is feeling better.

 

 

 



Happy Anniversary

Today we made a scary trip to the ER. K had trouble sleeping last night, which we figured was from his runny nose that started yesterday afternoon. Today he was very tired and started complaining of  stomach pain. We got him checked out by the doctor in the ER, and he seems to be okay. It was probably just gas pains. We're letting him rest for the rest of the day, and watching him closely.

Cummins Cabin 2012

Today we spent the day packing boxes and moving large pieces of furniture into our storage facility. I didn't take any pictures, so I've decided to share last years pictures of our Cummins Cabin vacation.

Cousins

Today Grandma & Grandpa came over to watch K while Mommy packed boxes. Grandma & Grandpa brought a special surprise! They brought K's cousin!! Both boys had so much fun playing in the water, neither one of them wanted to get out.
