Gilroy Gardens 2013

Today we took our very first trip to Gilroy Gardens! We went with K's Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin! I've been wanting to go to this park since summer time! Since it is December the park was only open from 3pm-8pm. So, we decided to drive out to Gilroy early and go to the Disney Outlet! We were able to pick up some birthday presents for K. Then we went over to Gilroy Gardens:

Daddy, Mommy, and K!

Right after we walked in the front gate, we found a snowman blowing snow on all the kiddos that walked by. K and his cousin loved it!!

Here is a small video clip of K playing in the snow!

Then everyone played a water gun game.

K's cousin won a SpongeBob !

K won this green blob thing :)

There were beautiful water features through out the park!

The trees in this park were gorgeous! Several of them were shaped. They were interesting to look at.

A horse and carriage! My pictures do not do this place justice. All of these pictures are on my cell phone, and I wish I would have brought my Nikon! The entire park was decked out with Christmas lights and Christmas music!

This is the bridge people cross over to get in and out of the park. It was covered in Christmas lights! It looked like a candy cane wonderland. When you walk over it, all you see at either side of you are trees, plants, and rides covered with Christmas lights! It was beautiful.

K noticed that there were Santa mail boxes hidden all over the park. He wanted to open all of them and pull the letters out. Of course we didn't allow him to touch the letters.....but what a cute idea! I think K will be dropping his wish list for Santa in one of these mail boxes next year.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Gilroy Gardens. The lines were not long ( probably because it is December), the park was clean and looked well kept up. The employees were friendly and made sure everyone was following the safety rules. We liked it so much we got annual passes! Yay!!! We will be back when it gets warmer!
