K's First Birthday

Again, I'm not able to sleep and reminiscing about the past. Having a son has been a dream come true. Being able to stay home, and spend as much time with K as possible has been a blessing. I've enjoyed watching him hit milestones, first experiences , and I've truly cherished every moment of his first year. We celebrated K's first birthday at our home with a small group of friends. Grandpa was in charge of pictures that afternoon, and here are his pictures:

Mommy & Daddy chose not to have balloons as a safety precaution.

I made cookies in the shape of cupcakes with the number one on them. Then I wrapped them and added a candy cane to hand out as party favors.

Before the cake.....

And then he tried it....

And after.......

He had a very special first birthday. Mommy cried the whole time we sang Happy Birthday. And Daddy fought back the tears as hard as he could...but some fell.

On his actual birthday day Grandma & K's cousin came over to take him out to lunch. Here are a couple pictures of him trying a cupcake for the very first time on his first birthday:

Lol...as you can see, he loved it! Happy First Birthday my sweet boy!
